Welcome to the NRPS reporting tool
The National Rail Passenger Survey (NRPS) provides a network-wide picture of customers’ satisfaction with rail travel. Passenger opinions of train services are collected twice a year from a representative sample of passenger journeys. Passengers’ overall satisfaction, overall satisfaction with the station and train, and satisfaction with 33 specific aspects of service can therefore be compared over time.
This website contains passenger satisfaction ratings of their journey for each individual TOC for a number of survey waves, to include Autumn 2018. It has been designed to allow you easy access to the data and to perform some simple analysis of the results. The results are usually displayed in tabular and chart form. These can then be printed directly from the web page, exported as Excel documents or PowerPoint charts. Apart from overall satisfaction, data is also available for station and train attributes. Satisfaction and performance ratings for all these variables can then be broken down and summarised by a number of different categorisations such as by TOC, sector, survey wave, station of origin and destination, journey purpose, day of travel and so on. A range of passenger demographics are also provided and include but are not limited to gender, age, ethnicity and disability.
